Terms of service
Last updated: 4 February 2026
1. Who these terms are between
These terms are the agreement between you (the person creating an account, buying a licence, or browsing the site) and IB Math Revision, run as a sole trader by Pete Bromfield in the United Kingdom (contact: pbromfield@ibmathrevision.com).
By clicking "Sign in", "Subscribe", "Buy" or otherwise using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.
2. What we're selling
- IB Diploma course licence (€49): 12 months of access to one of the four DP maths courses (SL AI, SL AA, HL AI or HL AA), including question banks, AI grading, mark schemes, PDF workbooks and flashcards for that course.
- SAT Math Prep licence (€39): 12 months of access to the 29-topic SAT Math library and worked solutions.
- IB + SAT bundle (€50): Both licences above.
- Pre-IB summer bridge course (€20): Access to the 4-stream Pre-IB engine until 28 August of the current calendar year.
- School licence (from €3,000): Multi-seat access for a defined cohort at a school for a defined period (default 12 months). Governed by a separate Data Processing Agreement — email us if you're a school.
All licences are one-off payments. Nothing auto-renews. If you want another year, you buy again.
3. Your account
You need an account (email + password or Google/Microsoft sign-in) to access paid content. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure. Don't share your account — it's licensed to one person.
If we notice a single account signing in from more than 3 unrelated locations in a short period, we may temporarily suspend it while we check.
4. What we promise
- To keep the site running and your paid content accessible for at least the licensed period (barring short maintenance windows < 4 hours).
- To only bill you for what you clicked to buy — no surprise charges, no dark patterns.
- To respect your data as set out in the Privacy Policy.
- To respond to any support email within 3 working days.
5. What we don't promise
- A specific IB grade. Practice + effort + teaching drive grades; a website is one input among many.
- That any specific question will appear on your exam. Content is examiner-style but not "leaked" past-paper content.
- Bug-free software. If something breaks and it affects your access, tell us and we'll fix it.
- Availability during scheduled maintenance or service outages of our underlying providers (Google Cloud, Stripe, Resend).
6. Payments & refunds
Card payments are processed by Stripe. We never see your card number. Prices displayed include EU VAT where applicable.
Under UK consumer law (Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013), you normally have 14 days to cancel a purchase of digital content for any reason. HOWEVER: by clicking "Buy" and getting instant access to the paid content, you expressly agree that:
- The supply of digital content begins immediately, and
- You lose the automatic 14-day right to cancel as soon as you access the paid content.
See our dedicated Refund Policy for the full details, including how to request a refund if you haven't used the content.
7a. AI IA Feedback & Examiner IA Review — academic honesty
Both the €5 AI IA Feedback tool and the €100 Examiner IA Review are study aids providing revision-style guidance against the published IB assessment descriptors. They are not co-authoring services.
By uploading a draft to either service you confirm that:
- The draft you submit remains your own work and you retain sole authorship of your final Internal Assessment submission.
- You will not paste AI-generated rewrites, suggested phrasing, or model text verbatim into your final IA.
- You will disclose use of any AI tool (including this one) in your IA's declaration if your school or the IBO requires it — and you have checked what your school requires.
- You understand the IBO's Academic Honesty policy and accept sole responsibility for compliance.
- Feedback is provided in good faith but does not guarantee any specific grade or mark. Final examiner judgement rests with the IBO.
We reserve the right to refuse or terminate service if we reasonably believe the tool is being used to circumvent academic honesty rules (e.g. submitting an entire draft written by another AI system for us to "clean up").
7b. What you can and can't do with the content
You can:
- Use every question, mark scheme and PDF for your own personal study.
- Print PDFs and take them into a study session, tutor session, or exam-hall reading.
- Discuss questions with your teachers or tutors.
You must not:
- Redistribute, resell, publicly post, or upload questions/answers/PDFs to sharing sites (e.g. Course Hero, Discord servers, Reddit, forum sites).
- Use the content to train a competing AI system, question bank, or revision product.
- Scrape the site programmatically or attempt to bypass paywalls.
- Reverse-engineer the AI grading prompt, mark scheme structure, or Cloud Function API.
Doing any of the above ends your licence immediately, with no refund.
8. Intellectual property
Every question, mark scheme, PDF workbook, flashcard and worked solution on the site is either created by Pete Bromfield or licensed to IB Math Revision. All content is protected by UK and international copyright law. You get a personal, non-transferable licence to use it — you don't own it.
"IB Math Revision", the logo and site design are trademarks of Pete Bromfield.
9. If you're a school / teacher
A school licence covers a defined cohort of students at your school for the licensed period. Enrol students via the class-code redemption flow. Students remain data subjects under GDPR; your school is the data controller, we are the data processor. A Data Processing Agreement (DPA) is available on request — it's a legal requirement before your DPO can approve a school-wide roll-out.
10. Suspension & termination
We can suspend or close your account if you materially breach these terms (particularly section 7). Where possible we'll email you first with a chance to resolve it. If we close an account for a serious breach (e.g. content resale), no refund is due.
You can close your account at any time by emailing us — see the Privacy Policy for how we delete your data.
11. Liability
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or anything that can't be excluded under English law.
Subject to that, our total liability to you for any single course licence is limited to the amount you paid for it. We are not liable for indirect losses (e.g. missed grade, university offer withdrawn, lost tutoring fees).
12. Changes to the site & terms
The site's features may change over time. We reserve the right to remove, replace or improve tools. If we make a change that meaningfully reduces what you paid for, we'll email you and offer a pro-rata refund.
If we change these terms, we'll email everyone with an active account and post the new version here. Small typo fixes just get a note at the top.
13. Complaints & dispute resolution
If something goes wrong, please just email us first — nine times out of ten it's a misunderstanding we can fix in an hour. If we can't resolve it, you're free to escalate to:
- Your card issuer / PayPal for payment disputes.
- The UK Information Commissioner's Office for data-protection issues.
- An English court (see section 14).
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any dispute is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
