AI HL mock exam guideHow to use a mock well
- Step 1
Sit a paper first, timed
Before you revise, sit a free Prediction Paper 1 or an interactive practice paper under exam timing.
- Step 2
Mark it and list your lost marks
Mark it with the markscheme and put every lost mark in My mistakes, so you revise what you got wrong, not what you already know.
- Step 3
Fix the topics, then sit another paper
Follow the 2-week or 4-week plan on your course page. For a shorter run-in, each course also has a 12-day mock plan, and Mock Season Plan tracks four weeks for you.

Common questions
When are IB Maths mock exams?
Your school sets the dates. For May candidates, Year 2 mocks are often in December or January; check your school calendar or ask your teacher.
What is on an IB Maths mock?
Most schools set full papers in the real exam format for your course: Papers 1 and 2 at SL, and Papers 1, 2 and 3 at HL. Pick your course above for the times, calculator rules and a free mock paper.
Where can I find a free IB Maths mock paper?
Paper 1 of our Prediction Papers is free for every course: the first section is open to everyone and a free account opens the whole paper with its markscheme. Our interactive practice papers are free with no sign-up.
How should I revise for IB Maths mocks?
Sit one paper timed first, mark it and list the topics where you lost marks. Fix those topics with exam-style questions and Skill Builders, then sit another paper. Each course page has a 2-week and a 4-week plan that does this.
Are these official IB papers?
No. Everything here is written by us in the IB format. This site is independent and is not connected to the IB.
