What it does in one paragraph
You upload your IA draft (PDF, DOCX, or pasted text). Our AI — trained on the official IB IA descriptors and my own examiner rubric — reads it and returns a score against each of the five criteria (Communication, Mathematical Presentation, Personal Engagement, Reflection, Use of Mathematics), a total out of 20, a predicted grade band, and three concrete rewrite priorities. The whole thing takes about 60 seconds.
What it can genuinely do
- Read your equations, graphs and diagrams. It's multimodal — the AI sees the visual layout of your PDF, not just extracted text. So it can spot when your graph is unlabelled, or when a table isn't referenced in the prose.
- Cite the specific descriptor for each score. Not "Communication: 3/4" but "Communication: 3/4 because the prose is clear but the section headings don't match the mathematical narrative."
- Highlight strengths, not just weaknesses. Students often over-edit the good bits when they should be protecting them.
- Rank the top three rewrites. Not a wishlist of 40 suggestions — the three highest-leverage changes.
What it can't do (and shouldn't)
- Guarantee a grade. The IBO's own examiner does the moderation, and their word is final.
- Rewrite your IA for you. That would be academic misconduct — the tool is a study aid, not a co-author. Anything the AI suggests, you reword and integrate in your own voice.
- Replace the €100 human examiner review. The AI is trained on the descriptors but it isn't a human. For your final polish before submission, the human review still has an edge.
How the credits work
€5 per graded upload. Course subscribers get 4 credits free. Unused credits are valid for 12 months. Refundable if unused. You can re-grade the same IA multiple times as you edit it — students often do it once at 60% completion, once at 90%, and once before submission.
