A standard, not a prize: Athena is a standard to be met rather than a competitive prize with a limited number of winners. Every single MY3 student is encouraged to attempt the Award, and there is no cap on how many students can achieve it.
Highly personalised: No two Athena journeys are the same. Within the shared structure of Mind, Engagement, and Impact, you have the freedom to shape your portfolio around your own passions, chosen challenges, and personal goals.
Student-led ownership: Tutors and teachers are here to support and champion your journey, but the responsibility for planning, logging activities, writing reflections, and securing sign-offs rests firmly with you. It demands independence, initiative, and perseverance.
