CAT4 & MEG data
Whole-school CAT4 (GL Assessment) cognitive scores → Minimum Expected Grade + "if challenged" grade for every IB Diploma subject, per student. Owner-only — includes SEN/EAL/FSM data for minors.
📤 Upload a CAT4 export
Export straight from the GL Assessment CAT4 site (.xlsx), or select several files at once (e.g. a CAT4 export + the Admissions/Enrolment DB + Whole School data + Senior School combined workbook) — it auto-detects the CAT4 / roster / class-list sheet inside each one and merges everything by Student ID. Re-uploading a student replaces their CAT4 data (latest sitting wins) — any subjects you've tagged as "actually taking" below are kept.
🎓 Upload End of DP1 grades
Accepts either the iSAMS "Diploma Term Grades" export directly (one class block per subject, auto-detected) or a simple one-row-per-student spreadsheet (one column per subject, auto-detects header variations like "Math AA HL"). Grades are only kept for subjects each student currently takes — a class a student has since dropped is skipped, never guessed. Feeds the actual outcome into each student's chance-graph, alongside MEG and "if challenged".
🎓 Upload End of MY4/MY5 grades
Accepts the iSAMS "Middle Years Term Grades" export directly — auto-detects "(MY4)" class blocks (saved as that student's End of MY4 grade, plus any "working at IGCSE grade" mentioned in the teacher's comments) and "(MY5)" class blocks (saved as the current DP1 student's End of MY5 grade, folded into the matching broad subject group) in the same file. Or upload a simple one-row-per-student spreadsheet (one column per generic subject group). Grades only kept for a subject that student currently takes. Unrecognised columns are reported rather than guessed.
📋 Upload definitive roster
The school's official pupil list (one sheet per year group MY1–MY5/DP1/DP2, columns: Full Name, Preferred Name, Surname, Pupil Email Address, Year Code, Form). Applying this permanently locks every matched/added student's name, Year Group and Form so no other upload can ever change them again, and permanently deletes any CAT4 record not on this list — cannot be undone.
🗓️ Upload real timetables (PDF) — MY1–MY5
Select one or more iSAMS-style pupil timetable PDFs for MY1–MY5. Matches by Firstname + Surname to your existing CAT4 roster and tags which generic CAT4 subject groups each pupil is actually taking (feeds their "actually taking" subjects + PDF report, same as the manual tick-box). No student ID needed. Names matching 0 or 2+ students are flagged below rather than guessed. DP1/DP2 course data now comes from Set Lists below, not this card.
📋 Upload class list (xlsx) — MY1–MY5
Select one or more iSAMS "class list" exports (one row per pupil, one column per class code like BIO/11/Z/2 — a filled cell means that pupil is in that class). Same purpose as the timetable-PDF upload above (tags which generic CAT4 subject groups + exact MY4/MY5 GCSE subjects each pupil currently takes), just from this cleaner spreadsheet export instead of a PDF. Matches by Surname + Forename/Nickname to your existing CAT4 roster. Unrecognised class codes are reported below rather than guessed.
🧾 Upload Set Lists (PDF) — DP1/DP2 courses
Select ALL your DP1/DP2 "Set Profile" export PDFs together (one Set = one page). For each subject, the set with 6 lessons/fortnight is the SL base group and the set with 3 lessons/fortnight is the extra HL top-up group — a pupil in BOTH is HL, in the 6-lesson set only is SL. Matches by Surname + Forename/Preferred Name to your existing CAT4 roster (DP1/DP2 only). Non-course sets (Theory of Knowledge, PSHCE, CAT4 testing sessions, etc.) are automatically skipped. This replaces the old DP1/DP2 timetable-PDF method above as the source of DP course/HL-SL data.
🧾 Upload Set Lists (PDF) — MY1–MY5 double-check
Select MY1–MY5 "Set Profile" PDFs to cross-check the subject tags the timetable-PDF upload already gave each pupil. Where a pupil's Set List subjects fully agree (or they had no prior data), they're tagged directly — no review needed. Where they DISAGREE with the existing timetable-PDF tags, they're listed below for you to confirm which source to trust, nothing changes until you decide.
🧠 Upload individual CAT4 PDF reports (bulk)
Select every GL Assessment "CAT4 Individual student report for teachers" PDF at once (one per pupil). Richer than the exports above: adds each pupil's Verbal/Quantitative/Non-verbal/Spatial NPR + Stanine (sharpens the chance-graph spread), their profile-bias classification (e.g. "Moderate spatial bias" — also shown to the pupil/teacher on the student profile page), and GL's own real per-subject grade-probability breakdown (MYP, IGCSE and DP reports all include one), used in place of our estimated curve wherever a subject matches. Matched by name only (no Student ID on these reports); unmatched/ambiguous names are listed below to resolve manually, nothing is guessed.
DP1/DP2 only, real IB course names (from uploaded timetables) — cell = MEG\Challenge, plus a chance pill (probability of the most likely grade — green = real data from an uploaded CAT4 PDF report, grey = our own estimate). Respects the same filters as "All students". "-" = not taking that course; "?" = timetable confirmed the subject but not HL vs SL, check manually.
MY1–MY5, generic CAT4 subject-group columns (MYP has no HL/SL split, so the real timetable course maps 1:1 to the group) — cell = MEG\Challenge, plus a chance pill (probability of the most likely grade — green = real data from an uploaded CAT4 PDF report, grey = our own estimate). Use the year chips on "All students" to narrow to a specific MY year; this table respects the same filters. "-" = not tagged as taking that group; "?" = tagged but no CAT4 prediction for it.
Same-name records under different Student IDs — usually caused by a spelling/accent mismatch between the roster upload and an earlier CAT4/timetable upload for the same person. Never auto-merged — pick which record to keep per group; the other is permanently deleted after backfilling any CAT4 data the kept record is missing.
One page per DP course — HL students listed first, SL students below a divider row. Respects the year-group chips on "All students" (e.g. narrow to DP1 or DP2 only). Type Teacher Adjusted Grade / Prediction directly into the table below, or bulk-upload once you have an export ready.
🎓 Bulk upload Teacher Adjusted Grades
One row per student (Student ID / School Code / TW Unique ID column), one column per DP course — same header matching as "End of DP1 grades" above.
🎓 Bulk upload Predictions
Same shape as above — one row per student, one column per DP course. Uploaded separately since a school export usually has these as two different sheets/files.
Roster pupils grouped by year group who still need chasing up for CAT4 scores — split into pupils with no CAT4 upload at all, and pupils who have some CAT4 data but no Mean SAS. Respects the same year/group/search filters as "All students".
